Spring is Coming!
Ok, now that the house is finished from the water leak and some set backs in the repairs. It's finally done! All the furniture is back in from the garage.
I'm getting ready for spring, I planted some Sweet Peas and some of my favorite plants. I got to do a little re-decorating too. Here, are some pics.....
Can you see the Burlap flowers that are in the blue watering can? I've been making those for my upcoming "Spring Boutique" (more to come, the date is May 12th) and the Vintage Market Place in Fallbrook (that date is June 1st & 2nd) see flyer.
I keep moving this giant birdcage all over, I don't know where I like it best so, for now it's on the entryway table.
Little Bunnies moved in.
Here are some pics of the LR, still in progress.....decorating...
That's the wall that was torn down from the water damage.
These are the shelves in that cabinet that's in the corner. I purchased that piece from Christie Repasy when she had her studio in Laguna Beach around 10yrs ago. I love it.
Next, this table that I've had forever with a C.Repasy Birdie print (it says Spring!).
This is the way my staircase turned out, it used to be oak (you know that yucky, orange color. They stripped and stained it to match the floor.
Sorry, for being a bad blogger friend, I'm back in the swing of things.
After, all that I need a vacation!
GUESS WHERE? these boots and hat are going???? This weekend I'm headed with my husband and daughter (Evon) to TEXAS!, Howdy!!!! yes, we are going to Round Top Antique week! I'm soooo, excited
we are meeting up with Tricia (Vintage Bliss) @ Zapp Hall there. She helped us with all the happenings and information. Thanks Tricia, you're a doll!!! See you soon.
So, hopefully, I'll be blogging about my adventure there. Wish me luck!

Is January Over???? Where Have I Been?
Let me start by wishing everyone in blogland a Happy
start to the New Year!
My year did not start out so great. To make a long story short. On Christmas evening I heard a noise and didn't know what is was, I thought it was my cable box? Then it went away. So, I didn't give it anymore thought. The next morning my son got up and said that the noise was louder!!! So, went downstairs to check. As I was pounding the wall behind a white cabinet and kept moving my hand, I came across a big bubble of water is the wall! and it was dripping. Yes, a pipe had busted and it was leaking! OMG!~ called the insurance........ the rest is still going on!
The insurance cleaned everything, then had to have all the furniture and all my collections moved out. A lot has been done, floors have been removed and new floors are going in along with painting. So, that's what i have been doing these past weeks (not fun). It all should be finished by next week! Thank God!
So, to cheer myself up I put together an arrangement in the kitchen.TA-DA!
I'm working on some things and collecting treasures for the Vintage Market Place. Hope to see all of you there! Mark your calendar, Mar 2 & 3rd.
When my construction is done I will post some pics. It's giving me a chance to redecorate and give my LR a new look! Decorating, something, I love to do.
Enjoy you weekend!
Peace,Love,Junk!

Sweets & the Holiday Season
Hope you are all having a wonderful Holiday Season, I love all this cool weather we're having, don't you? I started my candy making and some of my baking. When I'm done I'll be making "goodies trays" for family and friends.
Take a peek!!
My famous peanut butter balls, these are always a hit.
Shortbread Snowball cookies, my husbands favorite~!
These yummy things, are Butterscotch haystacks.
I'm sampling one right now, tasty! I usually make all my candy first. then next week I'll do all the baking of bars and cookies. :)
Oh, my gosh! have you made these "cake balls"?
They are so "delish" and so easy to make.
Who? doesn't like Peanut butter cookies?
This is just my first batch.I like mine crispy. I'll be making one more next week. I'll show you my goodie trays next week, when I put them all together.
I wish you could smell the kitchen right now,it smells like Chocolate & Goodness.
It's getting closer, hope you're almost done shopping and wrapping. So, you can make time for some holiday baking!
So long for now,And to all a goodnight!!!!....
Merry Kissmas!

The Vintage Market Place and Catching up With Holiday Goodness!
The Vintage Market a few weeks ago was so, much fun! We, had a bout of the winds but, all in all it was lots of fun and a festive weekend!
Here's a pic of Evon and I all bundled up, it was chilly.
This is Robin ( the Furniture Queen) she was my neighbor. Thanks, Robin for helping us out with all the zip ties.
This is Linda (Trinkets Baubles & Bits)my other neighbor, her booth was so adorable,Linda it was fun spending the weekend with you and your sis Penny! Linda, loves vintage holiday decor, just like me.
Linda, shopped in our booth and purchased all these vintage Santa's Wow!
Robin and I (day 2).
Evon manning the our booth.
Thank you and Happy Holidays to all the people that stopped by to visit us.You made our sale a success!
On another note, I promised I would show you my den that is decorated in my retro-vintage collection.
this is a corner cabinet in my den.
Oh, let me open the doors so, you can get a better look...
In the background I've added my collection of old Christmas books.
This little guy was found by my husband at at the flea market, still in the original box in perfect condition!
Another oldie.
I also, have several Cody Foster's Snowy Houses. Here are a few.
The next few weeks will be busy for me, making lots of sweets, candy and cookies and of course Tamales (I can't wait) They are so yummy! getting together with my kids and sharing our Holiday Traditions is what Christmas is all about. See you soon....
Have a Happy Jingle Time!

A Snow Day! in Orange County
My day started out with breakfast @ Mimi's, with my gal pals Pearl and Linda.
This weekend I came across some Snowmen that were just adorable. I purchased a tutorial from Dawn @ The Feathered Nest (really good instructions too!I
had made some of these last year but, Dawn had a different idea (buy the tutorial and see for yourself!) So, Pearl and I started creating..... here they are....
These are the first two we made from the tutorial
pretty cute, huh??? After that we ran with our own ideas.....
I had made them on bottles before so, that's what we did.
Isn't this little chubby guy cute?
We had fun choosing and adding all the embellishments. We used brads for the eyes, tulling, silver tinsel, added words and more embellishments.
This one is saying.. don't go Pearl! Before we new it the play date had to end - boo-hoo.
We had a great day!
During the week I had been working on these old windows, I turned them into distressed mirrors, then added the little NEST banner.
This one is a little smaller. I'm working on a Christmas window too. All these items will be for sale at the Vintage Market Place, mark your calendar for this Friday and Saturday Dec. 2 & 3rd.
Come see me there.
Well, I'll be working on more Snowmen this week, I hope it cools down.
Have a great week, I'm seeing lots of lites in my neighborhood already. Mine are going up next week.
So, thanks for coming by today.
Peace,Love,Junk &
